Fishing is great fun for all age groups and Special Tours' boats are well equipped for Sea angling expeditions. Fishing rods are first class and the captain and crew are all skilled fishermen. Protective clothing and other equipment for your convenience and comfort are provided.
The sea angling tour takes 2.5 - 3 hours and starts at the Reykjavik Old Harbour, conveniently located only a 5 minute walk away from down town Reykjavik. Expect to catch Cod, Halibut, Haddock, Rockfish and Pollock. On the way out to the fishing grounds the boat sails past Akurey and Lundey Islands, teaming with Puffins and other birdlife (1 May – 20 August). The crew teaches you how to fish and advices you on bait and other techniques. Barbequing the fish caught is indeed available and a popular option for the proud fishermen. Sea angling is ideal for either experienced fishermen or simply relaxing out in the bay with a fishing rod in hand. The abundant and lively birdlife completes the experience. These trips are truly memorable experiences for young and old.
