More Information

Spring and summer are great times to visit Iceland and enjoy its most popular day trip, the Golden Circle. This city break deal consists of flights, hotel and a free Golden Circle tour which takes you to the magnificent waterfall, Gullfoss and the world famous geothermal area of Geysir. You'll also visit Thingvellir National Park, where you can explore the geologic rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates.

On the way, the coach will make a stop at Friðheimar where local Icelandic farmers grow tomatos year round using energy from geothermal heat.

The full day tour is booked two days after arrival (day 3) so it allows you plenty of free time in Iceland to explore Reykjavik and its surroundings. Go visit Iceland on a 3-7 night break. Available from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow.

The Golden Circle tour is booked two days after arrival and includes some Iceland’s most stunning sights. You will see the hot spring Strokkur shoot a column of water up to 30 metres (98 ft.) into the air every 4-8 minutes – a thrilling experience that just never gets old. We also visit the magnificent Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall, created where the river Hvítá tumbles and plunges into a crevice some 32 m (105 ft.) deep. Our tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that is Þingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimetres per year.

Additionally we visit the idyllic Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre, where we learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of the geothermal heat that Iceland has in abundance.
