Book NowLooking for the best whale watching trip? Splash out on an Iceland whale watching holiday and search for the world’s largest inhabitants in the pristine waters off of Reykjavik.
This popular package includes flights, accommodation and a half day whale watching tour with specialists Elding for the day after your arrival (day 2). You will be picked up from your Reykjavik hotel and then set sail from the old harbour to Faxafloi Bay, with stunning views of Mount Esja.
Whale sightings are not guaranteed, but occur on 94.4% of the 3 hour tours, with Minke and Humpback whales the two most typically spotted. Although the whales are the number one stars on the trip, Puffins and Guillemots are often spotted.
The Whale Watching City Break makes for a romantic holiday or great family adventure and allows for plenty of free time for other activities. We recommend the Golden Circle tour which visits several of Iceland's natural highlights like the geothermal Geysir area and thundering Gullfoss waterfall. For the adventurous, horse riding and glacier walking are popular activities set in stunning scenery.
