Icelandair commemorated its first flight between Iceland and Toronto on May 2, 2008.  With up to five flights weekly, this service marks the extension of Icelandair's service into Canada under the Open Skies agreement between the Canadian government and Iceland.

Toronto is the biggest city in and main transportation hub of Canada.
