Two different kinds of points are awarded: Award Points and Card Points.
Award points can be used to book award flights and various award services.
Card Points indicate only whether a cardholder is entitled to membership of Saga Silver or
Saga Gold and/or whether membership is renewed. A customer must earn 40,000 Card Points during a 12 month period for membership of S
Saga Silver. 80,000 Card Points during a 12 month period for membership of Saga Gold.Award Points and Card Points
Award Points and Card Points are awarded for all Icelandair scheduled flights. For transactions with Icelandair partners, Award Points alone are allocated. Please note that points for flights are credited after the flight. Points for Icelandair Customer Club partners are credited monthly.
Points are only awarded for tickets bought at the advertised price. If a cardholder upgrades, the number of points allocated is for the class booked and paid for, not for the upgraded class.
Points are awarded for journeys taken. No points are awarded for flights booked but not flown.
Users of the Saga Bonus card issued by VISA/Icelandair also receive Award points for all their transactions within Iceland. In addition, points are allocated for transactions with Icelandair partners which give discounts in the form of points.
Users of the Europay Heimskort credit card receive Award points for all transactions within Iceland, and also for transactions with Iceland Telecom (Landssíminn).
Members of the Landsbanki (National Bank) Varða Club earn Frequent Flyer award points.

You will receive your permanent membership card after your first points for a flight with Icelandair have been registered to your account.
If points are missing, you can send us a copy of your flight coupons along with your membership number by fax +354 50 50 737. +
You can send in corrections up to 6 months from the date of travel. No points can be earned for flights flown prior to enrollment into the club.
If points are missing for flights with SAS you must also send the original boarding passes.
We advice you to keep all flight documents, car rental agreements an Hotel receipt until points have been registered.
