Halifax International Airport is the seventh busiest airport in Canada. The airport was opened in 1960.
Approximately 32 million passengers, travelling with 25 airlines, pass through the airport annually. There are flights to various destinations in the USA, Canada, Central America and Europe.
The airport boasts of being one of the few airports where NASA’s space shuttle can land if something goes wrong during lift-off.
