Hunt for the magical northern lights on Videy Island, well known for its tranquillity and only short sail from Reykjavik harbour.

Videy Island is a unique place combining history, art and nature. This quiet island (uninhabited since the 1950's) is a mere 20 minutes sail from Reykjavik's old harbour and well known for its tranquillity and the spirit of the bygone centuries. You can enjoy the scenery, nature, history and culture of the island on our evening stroll in serch of the natural phenomenon we call the Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights. 

Photographing the art work or buildings of the island with the northern lights adds that something special to your pictures. The island also provides incredible platforsm for a 360 degree panoramic of the capital city, Imagine Peace Tower, mountain ranges and some of the oldest buildings in Iceland.

We recommend waring good sturdy footwear and warm clothing including thermals, hat, scarf and gloves. Please note the tour is weather dependent and the northern lights are a natural phenomena with no sightings guaranteed.
